RESUMO

This dissertation looks for showing that systems and system thinking basic concepts are needed and mandatory factors for a Quality System Management, as well as some of the fundamental features and practices on the art of management, and their players, the managers, required to manage it. It also puts it into relief the human being as the protagonist and the system existence main reason, far distinct from the excluding treatment he has been subjected to as a component of such a System, due to current mismanagement practices. At last, it emphasizes that such management practices need to be transmuted, extended cross-enterprise at all levels, into a more effectively concious system thinking practice in order to have a Total Quality System de facto, on which all components are interdependent and interact each other and the human being, particularly, performing the primary connecting agent amongst these components. And as a natural result, fostering a more favourable working environment to the human being for a plain achievement with what he is performing, for his own growth and benefit and the enterprise s as well; and, on a much higher level, contributing to a more Humanized Society and a more Transcending Humanity as an outcome of such a transformation
