RESUMO

This is a terminological research on the field of management of municipal educational systems. With a focus on the description of the use, this work is based on the Communicative Theory of Terminology. Since it is the first research in the area in Brazilian Portuguese, it intends to identify and describe terminological units of this specialized field. To reach this objective, data are analyzed from a polyedric point of view of terminological units. In the last part, it presents a list of terms and a conceptual map of the model of democratic educational management.
