RESUMO

This study has the goal of investigating the relations between the transformations inside the world of labor, the educational policies and teacher formation. The transformations in the world of labor, which have been occurring in the contemporary society, in production technology and in the social relations, result from the current capitalist accumulation model, are fitted into the globalization process and have been favored, at large, by the scientific-technological advancements. Such transformations have caused some impact in the different segments of society, demanding a new professional profile with an effect in school education. The educational system is then required to provide the workers with their formation so as to meet these demands, which, in turn, have implication in teacher formation. Thus, this study has the goal of analysing the relations between the changes in the world of labor, the educational policies and teacher formation, based on concern, the means to formulate the educational policies, their standpoints and conditioning. That is, in which ways will the actual transformations eventually interfere in the formulation of the educational policies in teacher formation. It is about a qualitative reseatch, done through semi-structured interview along with two coordinators from High School and College Schooling and nine pedagogic coordinators from basic schooling, being five from public schools and four from private schools. The results from the study have made it evident that the transformations occurring in society, settled on production re-structuring, in economy and in politics reflect in a significant manner the educational policies on teacher formation. Such policies reflect an upbeat towards the formation which may grant the teacher the means to make a reading of the reality and contribute with their transformation.
