RESUMO

This research analyzes the partner-economic, physical and ambient conditions of the families seated in the New nesting Querência, in city of Terenos-MS. The objective of the research was to also investigate social, physical, economic and ambient the structures and, the potentialities of local development, whose period of analysis was of January of 2001 the August of 2004. Some sources of inquiry, research documentary and bibliographical, data-collecting with reseaech of field with the seated ones had been used, seated president of the association of and with technician of the IDATERRA (Institute of Agrarian Developme nt, Research, Assistance Technique and Agricultural Extension of Mato Grosso of the South). Questions of scopes had been raised social, economic and ambient, that hinder a lasting local development for the local community. One of main problems faced for the seated one is the lack of union between them for the creation of an agricultural cooperative, that according to proper seated, could propitiate an improvement in the quality of life of majority of the families of the New nesting Querência. The relations of the agricultural seated ones with the environment generate well problems of ambient degradation, what it implies in the promotion of the sustainable development in the place.
