RESUMO
Mice vaccinated orally with heat-killed cells of serovar O3 of Yersinia enterocolitica were protected only against fecal excretion of the homologous serovar, whereas Formalin-killed cells provided cross-protection against serovar O9 and vice versa. Serovar IVA of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, when Formalin-killed, also provided cross-protection against Y. enterocolitica. On the other hand, Serratia liquefaciens and serovar O6 strains did not furnish cross-protection.
