RESUMO
The clinical and pathological findings in a 42-year-old woman with cystadenocarcinoma of the liver are described. The criteria for acceptance of the diagnosis of cystadenoma of the liver or intrahepatic bile ducts are discussed and the previous literature is reviewed. Malignant change in a cystadenoma has not previously been recorded. Intestinal metaplasia with both goblet and argentaffin cells is also described for the first time in this condition.
