FORSTER. ADAPTED FOR THE FILM HOWARDS END BY ..JAMES IVORY; THE ASPERN s PAPERS. A NOVEL OF HENRY ..JAMES, ADAPTED FOR THE FILM THE LOST MOMENT BY MARTIN GABEL. CONCERNING THE FIRST NOVEL, I PRESENT TWO PARTS WHICH HAVE THE SUBTITLES THE HOUSE AS A REFUGE AND THE HOUSE AS A BUSINESS. I COMPARE THE BOOK TO THE FILM AND MY ANALYSIS FOCUSES ON THE PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION. FOR THE SECONO NOVEL, I OEVELOP A THIRO PART WHICH HAS THE SUBTITLE THE HOUSE AS TIME ANO MY ANALYSIS FOCUSES ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL OESCRIPTION. ANO, IN THE LAST PART, EXPANOING THE CONCEPT OF OESCRIPTION. I APPROXIMATE CINEMA ANO THE CONCEPT OF PICTURE ONE CAN FINO IN THE ..JAPANESE IOEOGRAM
