RESUMO
In this work we establish results on existence, multiplicity, uniqueness and the rate of decay at infinity of solutions of semilinear elliptic equations with a singular potential. In certain situations we show that the solutions blowup at the origin. We also discuss the behavior of the solutions with respect to the parameters appearing in the elliptic equation. Variational methods, the concentration-compactness principle, the lower and upper solutions technique and symmetry arguments are exploited.
