Espaço, brinquedo e educação : um estudo sobre o parque ludico do SESC/Itaquera-São Paulo

RESUMO
This is a case study about the SESC-Itaquera - S.P., where the relationships between the children attending the Playing Park and the existing toys have been analyzed and observed. From a historical study on the concepts of toys, childhood, decreation and education, we have tried to establish a relationship of our historical inheritance with the present moment, demonstrating how, historicaUy, playing has been related to education. Discussing the present moment, in a capitalist society, based on neoliberalism, we criticize the consumption of recreation, considered as merchandise, and defend See playing as a child s privilege predicted by law. Therefore, we present and evaluate the Playing Park of SESC-Itaquera as being in accordance with the proposed categories, and we attempt to foresee the future of recreation and education in the 21st century, not &am an innocent and optimistic point of view, but believing that only with the creation a new society, See and equalitarian, we will be able to have schools and recreation spaces where playing will be the pedagogical principle.
