Estudo bacteriologico retrospectivo das infecções micobacterianas em pacientes portadores da sindrome de imunodeficiencia adquirida (aids)

RESUMO

The main species of mycobacteria isolated in 51 patients with adquired immune deficiency syndrome (aids) admited to the Clinical Hospital of UNICAMP in 1996, were studied retrospectively by recording the isolation site and sings of pathogenesis. Of these isolates, 28 (54,9%) were M tuberculosis and 23 (45,1%) M avium complexo Strains of M tuberculosis isolated in 1996,1997,1998 , originating from 50 patients who had aids were tested for susceptibility to Isoniazid and Rifampicin. Of these, 41 (82%) were susceptible to both drugs tested, 5 (10%) were resistent to Isoniazid and susceptible to Rifampicin, 2(4%) were susceptible to Isoniazid ande resistent to Rifampicin, and 2(4%) were resistent to both Rifampicin and Isoniazid
