RESUMO
Dispersion phenomenon among fluids has been widely studied. Nevertheless still remains a big area, not well explored, on the field of flow in porous media, where the rock properties influence the flow path of the involved fluids. This work describes experiments consisting in gas displacement at very low pressures, with the objective of a better observing of this behavior, to carry out flow measurements and to record the corresponding changes in the fluid composition. Unconsolidated porous media were constructed, and necessary tests designed in order to do this study. These porous media were connected to the gas feeding at one of the ends, and to the chromatograph on the other end. The chromatographs obtained at fixed times, and the flow measurements were the base for the subsequent studies. Necessary properties were evaluated by means of the corresponding equations. An inverse error function method, and a probabilistic method were used, with the help of respective plots, to ca1culate the slopes, whose values, introduced into the formulas, produced the expected solution. These tests results are important because they permit to relate certain porous media properties with dispersion values that could be obtained from a gas displacement
