RESUMO
Histological examination of tissues from the legs of tanner crabs, Chionoecetes bairdi, infected with black mat fungus, Trichomaris invadens, showed that hyphae penetrated the cuticle of the crab, extensively invaded the epidermis, and extended into the muscle tissue.
