Gel scintillation counting of I131 in plasma at high efficiencies

RESUMO
A method is described for assaying low concentrations of 131I in plasma by detecting the beta radiation in a gel scintillator. Higher detection efficiencies are obtained compared with measurements of the gamma radiation from this radioisotope using a well-type crystal of sodium iodide.
