RESUMO

The technology project management in the city halls can be viewed as a relevant complementary instrument of planning and municipal management. This study focus on the alignment of the urban necessity together with an existent relation between technology project management and municipal plannings, making them be mandatory or non-mandatory by the law. Its main feature is to identify any possible collaboration of the technology project management in the city halls or the management control of it. This study determines qualitative and quantitative analyses concerning the reality of the methodological management application of technology project management by the city halls analized. The analyses were made in eight cities and characterize part of a sample, giving freedom of qualification and measuring by means that uses real demonstrations. It has been benefitted from results of the demonstrative analyses, which has collected data and information through a questionnaire. The answers to this questionnaire became the necessary input for the descriptive and comparative analyses of this study. The results derived from this questionnaire had information collected in some cities from Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, and reports that six of the evaluated cities answered the minimum requirements for project management. The studys great contribution is the possibility of an analysis or reflection of how technology project management is executed and its benefits towards the cities planning within municipal administration.
