RESUMO
We report a correction to the Escherichia coli K-12 genetic map. The order of genes near minute 80 was found to be xyl-mtl-lct, not xyl-lct-mtl. The mapping utilized two different Tn10 insertion mutations, zia-138::Tn10 between xyl and mtl and zib-137::Tn10 distal to lct.
