O papel do líder na aprendizagem, implementação e manutenção do sistema de gestão ambiental: estudo de caso do Verdegreen Hotel

RESUMO

This work has analyzed the leader role in the implementation and maintenance process of the Environmental Managing System of the Verdegreen Hotel organization. The focus of the research are leaders who understand the inherited phenomenon in the managing context. Hence, the formal leadership, the aspects approached at the theoretical reference included the concepts of the Environmental Managing System, its nature and logic. We intended, from that discussion, to understand the principles and rules that guide the implementation and maintenance of the system. Next, we discourse about leadership thematic: contextualization, concepts and delimitation. The methodological course used was basic qualitative research through a study of case. The empiric ways were collected throughout semi structured interviews with 16 leaders of Verdegreen Hotel. For the reading of the results, we used instruments and techniques of the discourse analysis. The research analyzed the operational roles of the leaders of the Environmental Managing System among five steps: Environmental policy, Implementation and Operation, Verification and Corrective action and Critical Analysis by the high administration. In synthesis, supported by Peter Senge theories, we identified three roles practiced by the leaders who overcome their operational work. They are: the leader as a designer, the leader as a teacher and the leader as a conductor.
