O projeto pedagógico como instrumento de gestão de uma escola

RESUMO

The fundament of this study is that the Pedagogic Project constitutes a solid tool for Academic Management, adequate to explain, understand or overcome the schools concrete problems in the construction of identity. Thus, qualitative research methodology was chosen with an exploratory and descriptive nature, aimed at a public high school institution in the Federal District, with data collection instruments defined according to the study objectives. Questionnaires with structured questions were applied to teachers and students with the intention of identifying their view on the role of the Pedagogic Project. In addition, semi-structured interviews were applied to managers. Observations were conducted during the pedagogic coordination, class council meetings and in the presentation of interdisciplinary projects by students, with the aim at verifying whether the dimensions exposed above were being made available according to proposals established by the Pedagogic Project. The sample consisted of 151 individuals, including the Headmaster and Vice-Headmaster, 40 teachers and 109, 18-year-old students attending 3rd grade, who were working or simply studying at the time, selected at random. The results indicated that the Pedagogic Project is considered a tool of participation and valorization of the school space use. Thus, this study considered that the Pedagogic Project influences the quality of teaching and students performance, corroborating to the idea that it is a tool of academic management turned towards the possibility of success in education.
