RESUMO

This research with the theme: The technology in Data Processing in the world of work: and others paths of graduates of a private institution of higher education in general Goiânia are designed to establish the relationship work and education in capitalist society Brazilian contemporary neoliberal and through this understanding, consider the paths and others paths in the labor market for graduates of colleges of technology courses in Data Processing, which were looking recognize the knowledge, skills and values built by hand, as well as those working in personal and professional paths that led graduates to move forward with more security in their social and professional. To achieve this goal, it was decided to qualitative research, in the case study method, using concepts of dialectical materialism Based on the theoretical foundations of the theory of Karl Marx, to take the concept of work as part of humanization, which helps to overcome alienation. We tried to broaden the theoretical basis for the achievement of research in Adorno (1995) and the Brazilian contemporary theoretical dedicated to the theme, Luis Antonio Cunha (1980), Acacia Kuenzer (1989), Paulo Ghiraldelli (1991), Octavio Ianni (1998) , Marise Ramos (2001), Gaudêncio Frigotto (2005), Maria Ciavatta (2005), Ricardo Antunes (2006), Domingos Leite Lima (2006), Dermeval Saviani (2007), Sofia Lerche Vieira (2007), among others. The investigation began with a literature search followed by a documentary and field research, permeated by questionnaires and interviews, which provided the lift the profile of graduates of the course and an overview of their professional careers in the labor market where they are inserted. The choice of course of Technology in Data Processing is justified as the first course of technology investigated and because the institution has, throughout its existence, transforming itself in the face of legal requirements and the new realities of the world of work. The research subjects are the graduates of the first and other classes that completed the course between 1991 and 2008 / 2. The destination business, concluded among other things, that investigated the integration of graduates reaches a rate of approximately 87%. This percentage, even considering a small sample, is significant, because while it is announced daily in the media, that unemployment rates reaching alarming, is not what we, with graduates of courses in the area of informatics.
