RESUMO
A phosphatase has been partially purified from crude extracts of Poterioochromonas malhamensis. The enzyme appears to be specific for α-galactosyl-(1 → 1)-glycerol 3-phosphate as it is relatively inactive towards glucose 1-phosphate, glucose 6-phosphate, fructose 6-phosphate, and sn-glycerol 3-phosphate.
