RESUMO

This study was carried out in order to verify the influence of using nozzles at different pressures on tebuconazole application to control soybean rust. Three experiment were conducted at Universidade Federal de Viçosa, in experimental area of Departamento de Fitotecnia, by using a randomized block design, with 4 replications: Experiment 1 coverage pattern of nozzles, on Capinopolis (UFV-16) cultivar; Experiment 2 and 3 soybean rust control by using BRSMG Garantia (experiment 2) cultivar of semilate cycle, and Capinopolis (UFV-16) (experiment 3) cultivar of medium cycle. Four nozzle Twinjet (TJ 8002), Turbo Teejet (TT 11002), Conejet (TX 8002) and Teejet (XR 11002) were submitted to three different pressure (276, 552 and 827 kPa), performing 12 combinations, adding a control without fungicide application. There were two tebuconazole applications, at 100gr i.a. ha-1, in stadiums R3 and R5.5, for Capinopolis (UFV - 16) and BRSMG Garantia, respectively. At 15 days after the second application, the number of hurts cm-2 caused by soybean rust in leaves, the productivity, weight of 100 seeds, the number of seeds and pods per plant, and also the failed pods, and seed germination, were all evaluated. Tebuconazole applications were essential to soybean rust control in both cultivars and all nozzles and pressures tested can be recommended to its application, however, lower pressure is a better option because it provides higher drops that are less prone to spray drift.
