RESUMO

On a daily basis, there are reports of people with disabilities making complaints when they choose to return to the labor market. In this scenario, the aim of this research is to undertake a Systematic Review of the Literature (RSL) that addresses the labor reinsertion of this population, considering architectural and attitudinal barriers within the workplace. The specific research objectives include: a) verifying, in the specialized literature, studies about the perceptions and attitudes of these people when subjected to selection process for labor reinsertion; b) identifying, in the literature, research reports concerning the attitudes of managers about the reintegration of persons with physical disabilities in the labor market. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) conducted at a national and international level, as recommended by the scientific community, was the method chosen for this research. The databases accessed included LILACS, SciELO, Portal Capes, Theses from Uerj, Google Scholar, Sage Journals and Medline. For retrieving the research reports, the following terms were used: labor reinsertion and persons with disabilities and attitudinal barriers and architectural barriers . Only studies published between 2008 and 2013 were included in the review. Considering these parameters, 17 articles, 4 dissertations and 1 doctoral thesis were retrieved. Nine of these publications consisted of studies about the attitudes of managers regarding labor reintegration of persons with physical disabilities. Thirteen publications were about the perception of people with special needs. The SLR conducted in the present study suggest that managers generally have limited information about current work legislation of people with disabilities. The results also evidence the lack of inclusive practices in the labor market. Data also showed that institutions and business organizations sometimes violate the laws related to the integration of people with disabilities in the labor market. The results of this study help identify not only indicators in the expansion of knowledge about the impact of the presence of physical and attitudinal barriers in the workplace, but also its removal of such barriers. These results are also useful for planning public policies for the purpose of humanizing jobs occupied by people with physical disabilities
