RESUMO
The library user's needs are discussed. The library is seen as a center for medical staff activities by providing literature for professional meetings. Acquisitions lists should be brought to the user's attention, and journal club programs instituted. Audiodigest tapes can be made available for postgraduate educational programs. Vital working relationships between the library and the medical community are to be encouraged.
