RESUMO

Based on the principles of psychoanalysis, we advocate listening singular of each person, considering that each individual finds his or her own way to establish a life within society. Although we continually seek diagnosis to guide treatment, we are not always able to clearly define this classification. In such cases, we must be aware of the traits that lead us to a differential diagnosis. This dissertation depicts three clinical cases that have been undergoing treatment for at least five years and have resulted in the theoretical articulation from psychosis. Jonas is a classic psycho, with structured delirium. Valentina and Caio could at first glance be comparable based on the severity of their symptoms; however, when we set psychoanalysis diagnoses as a reference, we seek structural features that are beyond the observable symptoms and define distinct diagnoses for them, namely: neurosis and ordinary psychosis. Thus, after the description of these clinical cases, we work with Freud and the Oedipus complex, then Lacan with the concept Name of the Father, and finally the Borromean clinic that allowed theories about the ordinary psychoses to arise
