RESUMO

The study University - School: a two-way road ? investigates the results of a University-School partnership project aiming at teachers formation. The University School Partnership Project for Initial and Continued Formation of Education Professionals is being carried out by PUC-Rio and six schools from 2nd CRE/SME/RJ. All the information was obtained from students and professors of the Pedagogy Course and from teachers of the partner schools. The study showed that, despite of the poor approximation between the schools and the University, this approximation appears in some teachers reflections and actions. We could find that the highest number of hours in the future teachers training and the formalization of the partnership, turned possible an interaction between the apprentices and the teachers, characterizing the importance of the latter in the educational process. The study also presents some information about the apprenticeship realized in a partnership of schools and Laval University of Quebec, pointing out the importance of more interactive apprenticeships. Finally, this study suggests the partnership as a promising tool to teachers formation.
