1. Sistemas eletricamente carregados em relatividade geral: equilíbrio e colapso / Electrically charged systems in general relativity: equilibrium and colapse

2. Analogue of the theorem of Birkhoff in a metric nonsymmetric theory of the gravitational-electromagnetic field
We prove that a spherically symmetric exterior solution of the field equations of a metric nonsymmetric theory of gravitation coupled with the electromagnetic field is necessarily static.

3. Metric nonsymmetric theory of gravitation: the analogue of the theorem of Birkhoff
We prove that a spherically symmetric solution of the field equations of the metric nonsymmetric theory of gravitation developed previously is necessarily static. This is the analogue of the well known Birkhoff theorem in general relativity.

4. CONTINUED FRACTIONS: ERGODIC AND APPROXIMATION PROPERTIES / FRAÇÕES CONTÍNUAS: PROPRIEDADES ERGÓDICAS E DE APROXIMAÇÃO
We study the theory of continued fractions emphasizing the interaction between theory of numbers (expansion of numbers, diophantine approximations, best approximations) and ergodic theory. We study the Gauss transformation and construct its ergodic measure. Using the Birkhoff Ergodic Theorem we obtain results about the expansion in continued fractions of alm

5. Bifurcações elementares em sistemas reversiveis
In this dissertation singularities of certain classes of vector fields in lRn are studied. The main goal is to study the behavior of the local dynamics around degenerate singularities. Normal forms, unfoldings and interactions between certain elementary bifurcations (saddle-node, transcritical, pitchfork and histeresis) and Hopf bifurcation are presented. Po
