1. Drawing Electrochemical Sensors Using a 3D Printing Pen
This communication demonstrates that a 3D printing pen, commercially-available as a toy for kids, can be used to draw thermoplastic electrochemical sensors using conductive filaments over any desirable format and substrate. A polylactic acid filament containing graphene or carbon black was passed through the 3D pen that works as a handheld 3D printer (fused

2. Chemically-Activated Biochar from Ricinus communis L. Cake and Their Potential Applications for the Voltammetric Assessment of Some Relevant Environmental Pollutants
Biochar is a rich-carbon material highly functionalized, which allows the use as electrodes modifier for preconcentration and voltammetric determination of several species. This work describes a castor cake biochar production and chemical activation with different reaction conditions using HNO3 and/or H2O2. Biochar samples were characterized using scanning e

4. Construction and Evaluation of a Graphene Oxide Functionalized Aminopropyltriethoxy Silane Surface Molecularly Imprinted Polymer Potentiometric Sensor for Dipyridamole Detection in Urine and Pharmaceutical Samples
A dipyridamole (DIP) based surface molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was synthesized and applied as a sensing agent in a sensing layer of a new modified potentiometric carbon paste electrode (CPE). The potentiometric modified CPEs (GO@SiO2-NH2-MIP/MWCNTs/CPE, where GO is graphene oxide and MWCNTs is multi-walled carbon nanotubes) showed an improved perform

5. Semiconductor Nanocrystals-Reduced Graphene Composites for the Electrochemical Detection of Carbendazim
A new nanocomposite based on ZnCdTe semiconductor nanocrystals (NCs) synthesized in situ on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was obtained. The heterostructure was characterized using UV-Vis emission and absorption spectroscopies, which provided evidences of the growth of the nanocrystals onto the rGO matrix. To evaluate the electrochemical performance, carbon pa

6. Synthesis of Hydrotalcite-Supported CdTe Semiconductor Nanocrystals for Electrochemical Detection of Ciprofloxacin
In this work, CdTe quantum dots (QDs) were controllably grown onto the surface of layered double hydroxide (LDH) aiming to develop a sensitive and selective method for the electrochemical detection of ciprofloxacin (CPX). Emission and absorption spectroscopy results as well as high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) images evidenced the form

7. Development of a Novel and Simple Electroanalytical Procedure for the Determination of Copper in Biofuel Employing a Sensor Based on Vulcan Functionalized with Carbazone
A novel and simple electroanalytical method for the determination of Cu2+ in biodiesel samples by stripping voltammetric analysis was developed. The method employs a carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with Vulcan carbon, previouly functionalized with carbazone (CBZ). The CPE/Vulcan-CBZ sensor promoted a significant increase in the analytical signal obtain

9. Electrodeposition of Gold Films from a Glycerol Solution on Carbon Paste Electrode and the Effect of Chemical and Electrochemical Parameters of Electrodeposition on the Electrode Performance in Potassium Ferrocyanide Solution
The gold electrodeposition process from a glycerol solution on a carbon paste electrode (CPE) was investigated by voltammetry and the morphologies of the electrodeposits were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Voltammetric study indicated that AuCl4− was reduced to Au0 and the process was mixed controlled (mass transport and electron transfer)

10. A Kinetic, Equilibrium, and Thermodynamic Study on the Biosorption of Tl+ and Cd2+ by Eichhornia crassipes Roots Using Carbon Paste Electrode
In this work, Eichhornia crassipes roots were used as a modifier for carbon paste electrode in a biosorption study of thallium (Tl+) and cadmium (Cd2+) ions. The ions were accumulated on modified electrode surfaces at open circuit potential and analyzed by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry.
