1. ROOT PROTRUSION IN QUALITY EVALUATION OF CHIA SEEDS
O objetiv

2. Stevia rebaudiana (Bert) Bertoni: regression models with mixed effects for investigating seed germination data
ABSTRACT. We investigated regression models with mixed effects using generalized linear statistics to evaluate germination data from Stevia rebaudiana (Bert) Bertoni. Estimates and validation of statistical parameters were conducted using the “gamlss” package in the R software. Generalized linear mixed effects followed the binomial, the beta-binomial and

3. Ecofisiologia de Cyatheaceae (Monilophyta): fenologia, banco de esporos, anatomia e germinaÃÃo
The objective of this study was: to define the fenolÃgico standard of the species of Cyatheaceae, to evaluate the formation of the bank of spores of Cyatheaceae in the of Atlantic Forest of the RPPN of Frei Caneca, to the long one of the year, to define excellent conditions of growth of the species, and also to define anatomical standard of fronds of two sp

4. Germinação e vigor de sementes e desenvolvimento pós-seminal de Crotalaria Spectabilis Roth.
Crotalaria spectabilis Roth is a species which has been standing out in the improvement of the quality of ground and control of nematodes in some states of northeast. The objective of this work was to get given biometrics data of seeds (length, width, thickness and weight of 1000 seeds), to study the sprouting behavior in terms of the substratum, temperature

5. EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON THE RATE OF GERMINATION IN BACILLUS CEREUS
Knaysi, Georges (Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.). Effect of temperature on the rate of germination in Bacillus cereus. J. Bacteriol. 87:619–622. 1964.—By use of the change of the spores from bright to dark, when observed in dark contrast with a phase microscope, as a criterion for the incipience (first stage) of germination, and increase in the volume

6. Comparative Study of Pressure-Induced Germination of Bacillus subtilis Spores at Low and High Pressures
We have studied pressure-induced germination of Bacillus subtilis spores at moderate (100 MPa) and high (500 to 600 MPa) pressures. Although we found comparable germination efficiencies under both conditions by using heat sensitivity as a criterion for germination, the sensitivity of pressure-germinated spores to some other agents was found to depend on the
