1. ARMC5 mutations are associated with high levels of proliferating cell nuclear antigen and the presence of the serotonin receptor 5HT4R in PMAH nodules
ABSTRACT Objective To analyze the morphological and functional characteristics of primary macronodular adrenal hyperplasia (PMAH) nodules carrying or not carrying ARMC5 mutations and the consequences of the presence of mutations in terms of the pattern of macronodule composition and functional state. Subjects and methods The analyses were performed by he

2. Search for a platelet-activating factor receptor in the Trypanosoma cruzi proteome: a potential target for Chagas disease chemotherapy
Chagas disease (CD) causes the highest burden of parasitic diseases in the Western Hemisphere and is therefore a priority for drug research and development. Platelet-activating factor (PAF) causes the CD parasite Trypanosoma cruzi to differentiate, which suggests that the parasite may express PAF receptors. Here, we explored the T. cruzi proteome for PAF rec

In vitro, PAR-1 AP, promoveu maior vasoconstrição em a

5. Efeito da leptina e da nutrição sobre o perfil de expressão de genes hipotalâmicos em novilhas zebuínas (Bos taurus indicus) no início da puberdade / Leptin and nutrition effect on gene expression profile of hypothalamic genes in Bos taurus indicus heifers on the onset of puberty: an experimental study

6. Estudo da modelagem molecular do receptor canabinóide CB1 e suas interações com o ∆9 - THC / Molecular modeling study of CB1 cannabinoid receptor and its interaction with delta-9-THC
Marijuana (Cannabis sativa) is a widely used plant and its various applications have important benefits. The plant Cannabis sativa has been used by man for centuries for eating, medicinal practices and religious rituals. In human subjects, its effects include analgesia, alterations in perceptions, cognition, memory and psychomotor activity. The cannabinoid c

7. ClassificaÃÃo de proteÃnas usando mÃquinas de aprendizagem e descoberta de padrÃes / Classification of proteins using machines learning and pattern discovery
Machines learning have been applied in several different problems in bioinformatics. Similarly, pattern discovery algorithms have also been used to discovery motifs in protein sequences, contributing to define signatures (such as fingerprints) that describes function classes of proteins. For instance, the G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) class represents

8. RIC-8B, a putative GEF of the olfactory system, interacts with Gαolf, Gβ1 e Gγ13 / Ric-8B, uma GEF putativa do sistema olfatório, interage com Gαolf, Gβ1 e Gγ13
The mammalian olfactory system detects small amounts of thousands of different chemical compounds. Odorant perception starts when an odorant in the air binds to an olfactory receptor (OR). ORs belong to the super family of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). Even though the odorant signaling pathway is well known, little is known about its modulators. In 20

9. Study of vasorelaxant effect of one pyrone obtained from Aniba panurensis in isolated superior mesenteric artery rat / Estudo do efeito vasorelaxante de uma pirona obtida de Aniba panurensis em artÃria mesentÃrica superior isolada de rato
6 - [(E) â styryl] â pyron â 2 - one (pyrone-198) is a natural styrylpyrone isolated from the ethanolic extract of the green fruits of Aniba panurensis (Lauraceae). The pyrones demonstrate a whole spectrum of bioactivity and have been shown to be antifungal, antibiotic, cytotoxic and phytotoxic. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of this

11. The G protein-coupled receptor repertoires of human and mouse
Diverse members of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily participate in a variety of physiological functions and are major targets of pharmaceutical drugs. Here we report that the repertoire of GPCRs for endogenous ligands consists of 367 receptors in humans and 392 in mice. Included here are 26 human and 83 mouse GPCRs not previously identified.

12. GPCRpred: an SVM-based method for prediction of families and subfamilies of G-protein coupled receptors
G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) belong to one of the largest superfamilies of membrane proteins and are important targets for drug design. In this study, a support vector machine (SVM)-based method, GPCRpred, has been developed for predicting families and subfamilies of GPCRs from the dipeptide composition of proteins. The dataset used in this study for
