1. Radiation Balance and Partitioning of Latent and Sensible Heat Fluxes Over a Lime Orchard in Eastern Amazon
Abstract We investigate the balance of radiation and energy over a lime orchard in Eastern Amazon and how it relates to environmental conditions. We found that lime trees aged between 6 and 7 years old reflect 11.0% to 14.5% of incoming shortwave radiation, and the latent heat flux corresponds to 57.6% and 66.6% of the daily net radiation in the dry season (

2. REFERENCE EVAPOTRANSPIRATION FORECASTING BY ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS
ABSTRACT: Evapotranspiration (ET) is the main component of water balance in agricultural systems and the most active variable of the hydrological cycle. In the literature, few studies have used the forecast the day before via Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for the northern region of São Paulo state, Brazil. Therefore, this aimed to predict the reference

3. Hourly interaction between wind speed and energy fluxes in Brazilian Wetlands - Mato Grosso - Brazil
ABSTRACT Matter and energy flux dynamics of wetlands are important to understand environmental processes that govern biosphere-atmosphere interactions across ecosystems. This study presents analyses about hourly interaction between wind speed and energy fluxes in Brazilian Wetlands - Mato Grosso - Brazil. This study was conducted in Private Reserve of Natura

4. Relationships of photosynthetic photon flux density, air temperature and humidity with tomato leaf diffusive conductance and temperature
The objective was to study the leaf temperature (LT) and leaf diffusive vapor conductance (gs) responses to temperature, humidity and incident flux density of photosynthetically active photons (PPFD) of tomato plants grown without water restriction in a plastic greenhouse in Santa Maria, RS, Brazil. The plants were grown in substrate and irrigated daily. The

5. Síntesis de una matriz cuasiceramica destinada a la obtención de fundentes aglomerados para proceso SAW y evaluación cinético-termodinámica de su proceso de humectación
In the this paper is presented a conception of the synthesis by sinterización at relative low temperature, of an amorphous cuasiceramic matrix to be used in agglomerated flux in the SAW process. In the design of the cuasiceramic it was made a valuation of the chemical composition of the diferent mineral concentrates (feldspar, zeolite and calcite), as well

6. MODELO DE ESTIMATIVA DA RADIAÇÃO LÍQUIDA E SUA APLICAÇÃO NA DETERMINAÇÃO DA EVAPOTRANSPIRAÇÃO POTENCIAL
This study aimed to assess and develop a physical mathematical model to estimats the net radiation. For this we used weather data collected from the meteorological station of the Department of Physics and Meteorology of the Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luis de Queiroz" - ESALQ - University of São Paulo - USP, Piracicaba, Brazil, according to the global r

8. Emissões de CO2, NOx e N2O em solos sob diferentes cultivos na região do cerrado / CO2, NOx and N2O emissions from soils to the atmosphere under differente cropping systems in the cerrado region
The objective of the study was to evaluate the CO2, NO, N2O emissions from Oxisols (Latossolos) under different no-till cropping systems in the Cerrado region (Central Brazil). The results are presented in three chapters. Chapter 1 presents a study on the effects of increasing doses of nitrogen fertilizer on the fluxes of trace gases along the crop cycle of

9. Drying rates in shrinking medium: case study of banana
Drying of foodstuffs is used to improve product stability, but presents some potentially harmful side effects such as shrinkage. The reduction of the relative humidity of the environment was studied in this work to substitute heating during drying, also taking into account the effect on shrinkage. Drying experiments of cylindrical slices of banana were condu

10. Inclusion of the momentum perturbation in the kain-fritsch cumulus parameterization scheme and impacts on a convective rain case / Inclusão da perturbação de momentum no esquema de parametrização de cumulus kain-fritsch e impactos sobre um caso de chuva convectiva
The objective of this work is to insert the vertical transport of momentum through the mass flux in the Kain-Fritsch convective parameterization scheme. The momentum fluxes were inserted in the KF scheme in a similar way to the existing heat fluxes. Experiments were accomplished in the two domains, one experiment with cloud updraft (FM1) and one experiment i

12. Fluxos de mercurio gasoso na interface solo/atmosfera na Bacia do Rio Negro utilizando camaras dinamicas de fluxo / Hg fluxes en the soil/air interface in the Negro River Basin (Amazon) by using dynamic flux chamber
The aim of this thesis was to quantify the soil/air exchange of mercury in the Negro River Basin by using a Dynamic Flux Chamber. The methodological study showed that the flux chamber was efficient to compare the Hg fluxes in the different sites. However, the humidity inside the chamber and the low flushing flow rate could have subestimated the Hg fluxes. Hg
