1. Aproximação isotópica suave de curvas e superfícies implícitas. / Smooth isotopic approximation of implicit curves and surfaces

In order to understand the observed infrared spectra data on solid solutions, it was applied the vibrational analysis methods for the Mg(OH)2, and investigate the infrared spectra behaviour of the MgxNi1-x(OH)2. The following samples were prepared Mg(OH)2, Ni(OH)2 , Mg(OH,D)2, Mg(OD)2, Ni(OH,D)2 and Co(OH)2 and ten solid solutions MgxNi1-x(OH)2, in the inter

3. Second-order correction to the Bigeleisen–Mayer equation due to the nuclear field shift
The nuclear field shift affects the electronic, rotational, and vibrational energies of polyatomic molecules. The theory of the shifts in molecular spectra has been studied by Schlembach and Tiemann [Schlembach, J. & Tiemann, E. (1982) Chem. Phys. 68, 21]; measurements of the electronic and rotational shifts of the diatomic halides of Pb and Tl have been mad

4. The measurement of the exchangeable pools of cholesterol in the baboon
Five male baboons were fed cholesterol-1α-3H until an isotopic steady state was approached in which the ratio of serum to dietary cholesterol specific activity was constant. The animals were then given single intravenous injections of cholesterol-4-14C, and the disappearance curves of the 14C from the circulation were followed for 70-85 days. The total exch
