1. Transport properties of granular high-T C superconductors
We report on the application of the Resistively Shunted Junction (RSJ) model to granular high T C superconductors. Some derived predictions of the RSJ model are applied to a set of superconducting granular samples which can be considered as a network of Josephson junctions. The investigated samples belong to both hole-doped Y1-xPr xBa2Cu3O7-delta (x = 0.0, 0

2. Quasiparticle energy spectrum and Josephson current in superconducting SNINS junctions
Through the solution of the Bogoliubov de Gennes equations we analyze the effect of different symmetries of the pair potential on the quasiparticle energy spectrum in SNINS junctions (S: superconductor, N: normal metal and I: Insulator). We find that the energy levels are strongly affected by the symmetry of the pair potential, the width of each normal metal

3. ConfiguraÃÃo, anisotropia e defeitos em uma rede de vÃrtices na presenÃa de nanoarmadilhas
Since Abrikosov s work in 1957, it. has been clear the vortex lattice existence and stability in specific magnetic fields and temperature values of type ll super- conductors. On external currents and Thermic fluctuations, vortices move through the superconductor salable resulting thermal dissipation. But it is salvage to most. actual technologic applications

4. Estudo de portas lógicas quânticas de dois qubits definidas em um subespaço livre de decoerência para um sistema de quatro qubits acoplado ao resto do universo por um agente degenerado / A study of two-qubit quantum logic gates defined in a decoherence free subspaces for a four-qubit system coupled to the rest of the universe via a degenerate agent
In this dissertation we studied theoretical aspects of some recent proposals of passive quantum information processing, that is, discarding error correction protocols. Falling back upon the creation of decoherence-free subspaces through a physical system of four spins coupled to the rest of the universe by a degenerate agent, we showed to be possible to buil

5. Theoretical prediction of the fractional ac Josephson effect in p- and d-wave superconductors
For certain orientations of Josephson junctions between two p x-wave or two d-wave superconductors, the subgap Andreev states produce a 4pi-periodic relation between the Josephson current I and the phase difference f: I µ sin( f/2). Consequently, the ac Josephson current has the frac

6. Zero-temperature superconducting transition in frustrated Josephson-junction arrays
The critical behavior of zero-temperature superconducting transitions which can occur in disordered two-dimensional Josephson-junction arrays are investigated by Monte Carlo calculation of ground-state excitation energies and dynamical simulation of the current-voltage characteristics at nonzero temperatures. Two models of arrays in an applied magnetic field

7. Controversial features of granular superconductors studied through the magnetic properties of 2d-Josephson junction arrays
We have shown that the Paramagnetic Meissner Effect (PME) is directly associated with pinning, and not necessarily related to the presence of pi-junctions. Through the study of the magnetic properties of two-dimensional Josephson junction arrays (2D-JJA) in the present work we show that, among the systems exhibiting PME, only those with suffciently low dissi
