1. Design, Synthesis, and Application of Colored Cobalt Pigments (Pink, Blue, Green)
The combination of white or colorless oxides (MgO, Al2O3, ZnO) with colorant ions (Co2+) generates colored pigments (pink, blue, green). The color is caused by the insertion of the colorant ion in the respective crystal lattices (periclase, alumina, wurtzite), as verified by X-ray diffraction. Absorption spectra in the visible region show analogous triplet b

2. Constructions of Dense Lattices of Full Diversity

3. Constructions of Dense Lattices over Number Fields

4. Rotated ℤn-Lattices via Real Subfields of ℚ(ζ2r)

5. A Construction of Rotated Lattices via Totally Real Subfields of the Cyclotomic Field ℚ(ζp)

6. Passive vibration control using a metaconcrete thin plate
Abstract We investigated the band structure of flexural waves propagating in a metaconcrete thin plate, consisting of a concrete matrix reinforced by steel inclusions coated by rubber in square and triangular lattices. We considered the classical Kirchhoff-Love thin plate theory. We also studied the influence of inclusion geometry - circular, square and rota

7. Band Structure in Carbon Nanostructure Phononic Crystals
We investigate the band structure of elastic waves propagating in carbon nanostructure phononic crystals with square, rectangular, triangular, honeycomb and Kagomé lattices. We also study the influence of carbon nanostructure cross section geometry - circular, hollow circular, square and rotated square with a 45° angle of rotation with respect to the x and

8. Complete Band Gaps in Nano-Piezoelectric Phononic Crystals
We study the band structure of elastic waves propagating in a nano-piezoelectric phononic crystal consisting of a polymeric matrix reinforced by BaTiO3 inclusions in square, rectangular, triangular, honeycomb and Kagomé lattices. We also investigate the influence of inclusion cross section geometry - circular, hollow circular, square and rotated square with

9. Physical and chemical study of lattice kaolinites and their interaction with orthophosphate
ABSTRACT This study covers the evaluation of the structure and the capacity in adsorbing orthophosphate ions of kaolinites collected from sampling sites in Manaus (Brazil). The kaolinites were obtained using physical fractioning (sieving/siphoning) techniques and chemical treatment with HCl, H2SO4, H2O2 and KCl. The investigation of the kaolinite lattices in

10. Indoor Characterization of Power Delay Profile Using Equivalent Antenna Representation in Uniform FDTD Lattices
Abstract It is shown that proper representation of transmitting and receiving antennas in indoor environments are decisive for accurate prediction of electromagnetic power transfer parameters using the standard 3D-FDTD method. With the standard Yee method, it is not always possible to precisely describe all the geometrical details of electrically small anten

11. Mechanical Behavior of Nano Structures Using Atomic-Scale Finite Element Method (AFEM)
Abstract This work presents a detailed description of the formulation and implementation of the Atomistic Finite Element Method AFEM, exemplified in the analysis of one- and two-dimensional atomic domains governed by the Lennard Jones interatomic potential. The methodology to synthesize element stiffness matrices and load vectors, the potential energy modifi

12. Electron Magnetic Resonance of Diluted Solid Solutions of Gd3+ in BaTiO3
Electron magnetic resonance (EMR) spectra of gadolinium-doped barium titanate (BaTiO3) have been studied at room temperature for gadolinium concentrations between 0.20 and 2.00 mol%. The results suggest that the Gd3+ ions occupy substitutional sites, replacing the Ba2+ ion, that the electron magnetic resonance linewidth increases with increasing gadolinium c
