2. Synthesis of Hybrid Monolithic Columns Using a Click Chemistry Reaction for Application in Capillary Liquid Chromatography
Hybrid monolithic columns present characteristics of both silica and organic monoliths, such as good mechanical properties, wide pH tolerance, high permeability and stability and little swelling or shrinkage. A common way to prepare this type of material is by using alkoxysilanes and organic monomers via the sol-gel process and click chemistry reactions. In

4. Evaluation of Monolithic and Core-Shell Columns for Separation of Triazine Herbicides by Reversed Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography
Monolithic and core-shell columns were comparatively evaluated for separation of deisopropylatrazine (DIA), deethylatrazine (DEA), hydroxyatrazine (HAT), simazine (SIM) and atrazine (ATR) under similar conditions of elution, flow rate and sample volume. Although both columns provided separation of the analytes with resolution > 1.5, the core-shell column exh

5. Optimized Separation Method for Estriol, 17-β-Estradiol and Progesterone by Capillary Electrochromatography with Monolithic Column and its Application to a Transdermal Emulsion
A monolithic stationary phase based on 3-(methacryloxypropyl)trimethoxysilane monomer, prepared within a fused silica capillary externally coated with a UV-transparent fluoropolymer was employed for separation of estriol, 17-b-estradiol and progesterone by capillary electrochromatography in a standard mixture. A 23 factorial design was used to optimize the s

6. A numerical study on seismic response of self-centring precast segmental columns at different post-tensioning forces
Precast bridge columns have shown increasing demand over the past few years due to the advantages of such columns when compared against conventional bridge columns, particularly due to the fact that precast bridge columns can be constructed off site and erected in a short period of time. The present study analytically investigates the behaviour of self-centr

7. Multi-component quantitation of loratadine, pseudoephedrine and paracetamol in plasma and pharmaceutical formulations with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry utilizing a monolithic column
The purpose of this study was to develop a rapid, simple and sensitive quantitation method for pseudoephedrine (PSE), paracetamol (PAR) and loratadine (LOR) in plasma and pharmaceuticals using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry with a monolithic column. Separation was achieved using a gradient composition of methanol-0.1% formic acid at a flow ra

8. Sequential injection liquid chromatography for the determination of triazine herbicides and metabolites of atrazine exploring the use of long optical pathlength flow cell and on line monitoring of adsorption studies / Cromatografia a líquido por injeção sequencial para a determinação de herbicidas triazínicos e metabólitos da atrazina explorando o uso de cela de longo caminho óptico e monitoramento on-line em estudos de adsorção

10. A sensitive and robust lc-ms/ms method with monolithic column and electrospray ionization for the quantitation of efavirenz in human plasma: application to a bioequivalence study
An LC-MS/MS method has been developed for the determination of efavirenz (EFZ) in human plasma using hydrochlorothiazide as internal standard (I.S.). An ESI negative mode with multiple reaction-monitoring was used monitoring the transitions m/z 313.88→69.24 (EFZ) and 296.02→204.76 (I.S.). Samples were extracted using liquid-liquid extraction. The total r

12. MONOENERGETIC AND POLYENERGETIC GAMMA RAY COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY FOR MULTIPHASE SYSTEMS ANALYSIS / Análise de sistemas multifásicos utilizando tomografia computadorizada Gama monoenergética e polienergética
It is important to recognize that at the heart of chemical transformations in all process and energy industries is multiphase reator technology, as over 99% of reator systems require the presence of more than one phase for proper operation. Tomography is a powerful technique capable of determining the effect of operating and design parameters on the phase ho
