1. Fragmentação por ação aerotermodinâmica e predição da área de impacto de um veículo espacial com injeção controlada da re-entrada / Aerothermodynamically-induced fragmentation and prediction of the area of impact of a space vehicle with controlled injection of the re-entry

3. Propriedades de decaimento eletromagnético dos núcleos espelho 67As e 67Se / Electromagnetic decay properties of the 67As e 67Se mirror pair

4. Decoherence and relaxation time in an ensemble of quantum dots / Tempos de relaxação e decoerencia em ensembles de pontos quanticos
Experimental measurements were carried out to determine the scales of the relaxation and decoherence time for the electronic spin as quantum bit. The structure of the exciton states was investigated with the objective to serve as intermediate states in the spin manipulation. The system studied for the implementation of the quantum computation is an ensemble

5. Pseudo-orbital SO(6) symmetry for pf-shell nuclei
This work studies the pseudo-orbital SO(6) symmetry for the first half of the {2${\rm p}_{\frac{1}{2}}$}{2${\rm p}_{\frac{3}{2}}$}{1${\rm f}_{\frac{5}{2}}$} shell (denoted as the pf-shell). The spectra and beta decay are calculated for nuclei Ni, Cu and Zn with A=58, and the comparison to experiment prefers the \mbox{$\widetilde{\rm SO}(6)$} limit to the \mb

6. Modelos moleculares para prÃtons e nÃutrons
The property most characteristic of quarks is of fractionally electric charge. Considering quark d (-1/3e) as constituted of one quark u (+2/3e) plus one electron, the proton (uud) and the neutron (udd) can be described for systems of type (uuu + an electron) e (uuu + two electrons), respectively. They are similar systems to the molecules H3 ++ and H3 +, res

7. Cálculo de espectros de fotoemissão eletrônica de um dímero adsorvido em metal / Electronic photoemission spectra of a dimmer embedded in a metal
The Renormalization Group technique developed by Wilson in 1975 is used to calculate photoemission spectra (XPS) for a dimer adsorbed on a metal; our model for this system comprises two deep levels, separated by a distance R, coupled to each other, and interacting electrostatically with the sorbate. The inversion symmetry is used to define two electronics cu

8. Reactivity of the HIV-1 nucleocapsid protein p7 zinc finger domains from the perspective of density-functional theory
The reaction of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) nucleocapsid protein p7 (NCp7) with a variety of electrophilic agents was investigated by experimental measurements of Trp37 fluorescence decay and compared with theoretical measures of reactivity based on density-functional theory in the context of the hard and soft acids and bases principle. 9. Energies and kinetics of radical pairs involving bacteriochlorophyll and bacteriopheophytin in bacterial reaction centers
Absorbance changes reflecting the formation of a transient radical-pair state, PF, were measured in reaction centers from Rhodopseudomonas sphaeroides under conditions that blocked electron transfer to a later carrier (a quinone, Q). The temperature dependence of the absorbance changes suggests that PF is an equilibrium mixture of two states, which appear to
