1. Comparative study on the biodegradation of chlorpyrifos-methyl by Bacillus megaterium CM-Z19 and Pseudomonas syringae CM-Z6
Abstract: The strains CM-Z19 and CM-Z6, which are capable of highly degrading chlorpyrifos-methyl, were isolated from soil. They were identified as Bacillus megaterium CM-Z19 and Pseudomonas syringae CM-Z6, respectively, based on the 16S rRNA and an analysis of their morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics. The strain CM-Z19 showed 92.6%

2. RESIDUE ANALYSIS OF ORGANOCHLORINE AND ORGANOPHOSPHORUS PESTICIDES IN URBAN LAKE SEDIMENTS
ABSTRACT The knowledge of pesticide residual concentrations in the environment is important to understand the threats to the environment and human health, especially when natural resources are used for human consumption. In this context, this study aimed to assess the potential ecological risk and respective sources of sediment contamination by organochlorin

3. Development of Manual Shaking and Ultrasound-Assisted Surfactant-Enhanced Emulsification Microextraction for Analysis of Organophosphorus Pesticides in Aqueous Samples
A novel, rapid and efficient manual shaking and ultrasound-assisted surfactant-enhanced emulsification microextraction (M-UASEME) combined with gas chromatography-flame photometric detection (GC-FPD) was developed for the extraction and determination of eight organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) in tap water and honey samples. The main parameters that affected

4. DLLME-GC/ECD Method for the Residual Analysis of Parathion-Methyl and its Application in the Study of the UV-Photodegradation Process
A new method has been developed to determine trace levels of organophosphorus pesticide parathion-methyl in water samples by using dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME), followed by gas chromatograph coupled with electron capture detector (GC/ECD) analysis. The optimized and validated method showed high extraction recovery (101.1%), high enrichmen

5. Flow Injection Analysis System for Screening Organophosphorus Pesticides by their Inhibitory Effect on the Enzyme Acethylcholinesterase
A flow-injection spectrophotometric procedure was developed for screening organophosphorus pesticides. The method is based on the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase immobilized on controlled porous glass beads with acetylcholine chloride as the substrate. Methyl parathion, chlorpyrifos, malathion and dichlorvos have been tested. The analytical peak height fo

6. MONITORAMENTO DE RESÍDUOS DE AGROTÓXICOS DA CLASSE DOS ORGANOFOSFORADOS POR CGDFC EM AMOSTRAS DE LEITE FLUÍDO E EM PÓ
Samples of whole fluid pasteurized, UHT and powdered milk were analyzed for the presence of organophosphorus pesticide residues (OPR) using the QuEChERS method with detection by GC-FPD and confirmation by UPLC-MS/MS. A total of 23% of fluid milk samples and 27% of powdered milk samples contained at least one organophosphorus residue. The OPR found in the sam

7. MONITORING OF ORGANOPHOSPHOROUS PESTICIDE RESDUES IN SAMPLES OF BANANA, PAPAYA, AND BELL PEPPER
The objective of this study was to monitor 11 organophosphorus pesticides in samples of papaya, bell pepper, and banana, commercialized in the metropolitan area of Vitória (ES, Brazil). The pesticides were determined by an optimized and validated method using high performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS). All three sample

8. Avaliação da exposição ocupacional a praguicidas organofosforados em estufas de flores na região do Alto Tietê - São Paulo / Evaluation of occupational exposure to organophosphate pesticides in greenhouses of flower in the Alto Tietê region, state of S. Paulo, Brazil
The state of São Paulo - Brazil, accounts for 70% of domestic production of flowers and ornamental plants. Currently, these crops occupy 7.5 thousand hectares and over 50% of this area is cultivated in greenhouses. This market has an average of 8.000 producers and generates around 200.000 jobs. Greenhouses are microcosms designed to provide environmental co

11. Efeitos do inseticida organofosforado metil paration (Folisuper 600 BR) sobre biomarcadores do estresse oxidante no teleósteo de água doce matrinxã Brycon cephalus (GUNTER, 1869)
Methyl parathion (MP) is an organophosphorus insecticide worldwide used in agriculture and aquaculture due to its high activity against a broad spectrum of insect pests. It is employed as pesticide in agriculture and in food storage shelters, as well as in fish culture tanks to kill aquatic larval stages of insects. The effect of exposure to 2 ppm of a comme

12. Análise de praguicidas organofosforados em água por extração em fase sólida (SPE) utilizando discos C18 e cromatografia em fase gasosa: avaliação da contaminação do reservatório de Furnas (MG-Brasil)
Solid phase extraction (SPE) in C18 disks has been optimized and validated for extraction of 5 organophosphorus (OP) pesticides in water. Extraction has been followed by separation and detection by gas chromatography/flame photometry. Excellent linearity was obtained for all compounds (r greater than 0.99), with CVs between 1.0-6.9%, recoveries between 73-95
