1. Study of the interaction of mass A=8 nuclei with carbon target and of the capture reaction 8Li(p,y)9Be of astrophysical interest / Estudo da interação de núcleos de massa A=8 com alvo de carbono e da reação de captura 8Li(p,)9Be de interesse astrofísico
The measurements of the angular distributions for the elastic scatterings 12C(Li,Li) and 12C(8B,8B) reported in this work have been done in two laboratories. Those corresponding to the angular distributions for the elastic scattering 12C(8Li,8Li) were performed at two ene&ies, 20.6 MeV and 23.9 MeV, at the Pelletron Laboratory of the University of São Paulo

2. Experimental determination of the nuclear density of 6,7Li nuclei / Determinação experimental da densidade nuclear dos isótopos 6,7 Li
In this work, the elastic and quasi-elastic cross sections for the systems 6,7Li +120 Sn, for the near barrier energies, ELAB = 25.0; 20.5 and 19.5 MeV, have been measured. The data have been analyzed in the framework of the parameter free São Paulo potential, which takes in account the non-local exchange effects in first order. From the quasi-elastic data

3. Diffraction in QCD
This lecture presents a short review of the main features of diffractive processes and QCD inspired models. It includes the following topics: (1) Quantum mechanics of diffraction: general properties; (2) Color dipole description of diffraction; (3) Color transparency; (4) Soft diffraction in hard reactions: DIS, Drell-Yan, Higgs production; (5) Why Pomerons

4. "Identificação de mecanismos em reações induzidas por núcleos fracamente ligados" / Identification of mechanisms in reactions induced by weakly bound nuclei
In the present work, the relative importance of breakup, incomplete fusion and transfer processes is investigated in the vicinity of the Coulomb barrier for the intermediate mass target 6Li + 59Co reaction involving the weakly bound 6Li. Measurements for light particle angular distributions were performed at energies Elab = 18, 22, 26 e 30 MeV,elastic scatte

5. "Study of the Elastic Scattering Between Nuclei Light Heavy Radioactive Stable" / "Estudo do Espalhamento Elástico Entre Núcleos Pesados Leves Estáveis e Radioativos"
The angular distributions of the elastic scattering for the 12C+28Si and 6He+27Al systems have been measured, in energies close to the Coulomb barrier. For the 12C+28Si system the data were obtained at energies Ec.m. = 12.4 - 25.2MeV and to 6He+27Al system were measured four energies Elab = 9.5, 11, 12 and 13.4MeV. The analysis of the angular distributions w

6. Complete fusion of weakly bound nuclei applying the delayed X-ray technique: the 9Be + 144Sm system
The detection of delayed X-rays produced by the decay that follows electron capture in the residual nuclei has been used in the past for the determination of fusion cross sections of tightly bound nuclei. In this work we applied this technique to study the effect of the break-up of a weakly bound projectile, like in the case of the 9Be + 144Sm system. Prelim

7. Upper bounds for fusion processes in collisions of weakly bound nuclei
We obtain upper limits for the contributions of the incomplete fusion and sequential complete fusion processes to the total fusion cross section. Through those upper bounds we find that these processes are negligible in reactions induced by projectiles such as 6He and 11Li, which break up into neutrons and one fragment containing the full projectile charge.

8. Does the break-up process influence the fusion cross section?
We give an overall picture of our present understanding of the effect of the break-up of stable weakly bound nuclei on their fusion cross section with light, medium and heavy mass nuclei, at energies above the Coulomb barrier. The discussion is based mostly on recent data obtained by our group in collaborative experiments with ANU, USP and Tandar Laboratorie

9. Fusion cross section measurements for systems 6Li + 27Al,64Zn at near-barrier energies
Fusion cross-sections were measured for the 6Li+27 Al,64 Zn and 9Be+64Zn systems at energies around the Coulomb barrier, in order to study the influence of the break-up of weakly bound nuclei on the fusion process.

10. Influence of the break-up on the fusion and scattering processes
We present results of the study of the influence of the break-up process on the fusion, scattering and reaction cross sections, at near barrier energies. Most of the discussed reactions and scattering mechanisms are induced by the stable weakly bound nuclei 6,7Li and 9Be, although comparisons with reactions induced by strongly bound nuclei are also made. 11. Rearrangements of DNA-protein interactions in animal cells coupled with cellular growth-quiescence transitions.
Overall DNA-protein interactions in animal cells undergo drastic changes coupled with cellular transitions from quiescence to growth and reversely as revealed by nucleoprotein-Celite chromatography. DNA of chromatin was found to exist in one of the two sharply distinct alternative forms, namely, either tightly or weakly bound to protein moiety. These forms a

12. Two phosphorylated subclasses of polyomavirus large T antigen that differ in their modes of association with the cell nucleus.
Two classes of polyomavirus large T antigen were distinguished, differing in their modes of association with the cell nucleus. A weakly associated class, the nucleoplasmic T antigen, representing 30 to 40% of the total, was solubilized when cells were lysed isotonic buffer at pH 7.2. A more tightly bound class retained in isolated nuclei, the retained T anti
